Human′: Ethical Reflection on Future Cyberworld Identity

This work discusses the possible problems caused by digital human and AI and makes an ethical reflection on future cyber world identity.

With the wide application of identity identification technology, more and more biometric information is being collected, stored, replicated in networks and various devices. Human data, networks, and artificial intelligence technology have led to the emergence of “artificial Homo sapiens”, such as Dadbot and Neon. Network technology might bring benefits to human beings and bring potential issues of identity ethics. In the Future Cyberworld context, while people enjoy the convenience brought by online identity and the freedom, pleasure and imagination compensation provided by “virtual avatar”, they may also face the risk of identity tracking and identity theft, as well as the ethical issues of identity, identity fragmentation and identity loss.

Human′ is an interactive installation that explores the issues raised by the massive copying of human data and reflects it from an ethical perspective. The work uses the collected viewer information and AI face-changing technology to generate multiple “identities” of the viewer in the virtual world, presented to the viewer in the form of mirroring. The work also uses artificial intelligence technology and H5 technology to make these independent “identities” communicate with the viewer on the mobile terminal. Through reasonable, logical assumptions and impressive art forms, it presents people with reasonable and absurd scenes and triggers people to think about the ethical issues of identity in the virtual world.
