This research studies the updated interactive experience that folding screen mobile phones can bring to users through news aggregation applications. Explore the difference between folding screen mobile phone and traditional single screen mobile phone in application and the different operation and reading experience brought to users by the unique use mode of folding screen

In this research, firstly, the development history and characteristics of folding screen will be described. Through numerous cases to explore the folding screen mobile phone as a new type of hardware interaction scenarios. Especially in the folding screen’s unique hand holding mode and the use scene in the case of semi-folding and so on, the special use scene of the folding screen is emphatically analyzed. Find out the design principles for mobile phone applications facing folding screens.

Secondly, the reading experience of users will be studied. Through a large number of news aggregation applications at home and abroad, this paper analyzes and finds out the design points and context of news aggregation applications. Based on the design principles of folding screen mobile phones, it is found that it is possible to find out the updates that folding screen will bring to news aggregation applications.

In the second half of the paper, the design and production process of folding screen application “folding gathering” is described. The article will give a detailed introduction to the design objective, design method, design process and final plan of “Folding and Gathering”.

The advent of folding screen mobile phones has indeed solved the portable problem of large screens, but at the same time, it has brought different application scenarios from single screen mobile phones. How to adapt to various folding screens and more unique application scenes of flexible display mobile phones will be an important topic in the field of mobile phone applications in recent years.This paper will start from practice, hoping to make some exploratory demonstration and experience contribution to the research of the next generation of folding screen mobile phones.
