Statement
Lanxi Xiao is a Ph.D. student specializing in design, with a research focus on complex data visualization and intelligent design methods. She is also interested in AI, interactive installations, web art design, and motion visualization. Lanxi received her M.Des and B.F.A. in Art & Technology (Information Design) from THU in 2023 and 2020, respectively.
Lanxi has been recognized with several awards: she received the China National Encouragement Scholarship in 2019, was named an Outstanding Graduate of THU in 2020, and won the Award of Excellence in Comprehensive Ability at THU twice. Additionally, she received the Award of Excellence in Academic Achievement and the Award of Excellence in Literature and Art at THU, both twice. Lanxi was a finalist for the Cutting-edge Designer in the Beijing Design EXPO ‘Laurel Award’ in 2020. Her work, ‘Human′: Ethical Reflection on Future Cyberworld Identity’, was selected for the Art and Science Concept Exhibition ‘Sci-Ficene’ during the Beijing Science and Technology Week in 2021.
