STATEMENT

Guan Jian, respectively obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University in 2005 and 2022. As a doctoral student with an interdisciplinary background, currently undergoing joint doctoral training at the Tsinghua University National Engineering Institute for Excellence and Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University. His main research focus is on innovative scenario design and engineering research for smart parks, and he has extensive experience in innovative scenario design for architecture and landscapes. With outstanding innovative spirit and over eighteen years of practical experience, he inspires teams at every stage of design, finding unique solutions and providing strong support for efficient collaboration within the team.

2008 Shanghai Qingpu New Town West Conceptual Urban Design International Competition: The work was shortlisted.
2009 6th China Habitat Exemplary Architecture Planning and Design Scheme Competition: The work “Peach Blossom Garden Community Landscape Design” won the Gold Award for Landscape Design.
2013 awarded the title of “China’s Top 100 Outstanding Designers.”

In March 2018, I participated in the “2018 China Characteristic Small (Town) Industrial Development Summit Forum” hosted by the Urban and Small Town Reform and Development Center of the National Development and Reform Commission and delivered a keynote speech.
In May 2018, I attended the “2018 National Hospital Architecture Design and Construction Technology Exchange Conference” hosted by the Architectural Society of China and gave a keynote speech.
In September 2020, I participated in a seminar on the construction of the “Laoshan Smart Sports Park” organized by the Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association and delivered a keynote speech.
In October 2021, I attended a seminar on the “Guidelines for Smart Fitness Trails of the Chinese Athletics Association” organized by the Chinese Athletics Association and Beijing Zhongtian Sports Development Co., Ltd., and delivered a keynote speech.
In May 2022, I participated in the “Tsinghua Design Science Conference” hosted by the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University (online), engaging in dialogues about design science and sharing knowledge and experience in creative professional design processes.
In August 2022, I took part in the exchange and seminar on the national standard “Requirements for Sports Park Configuration” organized by the General Administration of Sport, Equipment Center, and the National Sports Standardization Technical Committee, and delivered a keynote speech.
In September 2022, I attended the “7th Scientific Art Seminar” series of academic activities, jointly organized by the Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Beijing Digital Science Popularization Association, School of Urban Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing universities, and research institutions under their guidance.
In May 2023, I participated in the “Wuxi Smart Sports Scene Engineering Forum” organized by the Liangxi District Government in Wuxi and delivered a keynote speech.
In July 2023, I attended the seminar on the “Management Measures for Beijing Urban Public Space Demonstration Projects” organized by the Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission and gave a keynote speech.
