The Smocking Project:
The traditional smocking products are no longer popular, but the skills and techniques are not out of date. So we did this project, hoping to explore the possibility of innovative application of smocking through our design. While retaining the unique three-dimensional texture effect of smocking, we tried to redesign it with fashionable elements.
The Deformable Modular Fabrics Design:
In this project, the concept of “Modularity” is introduced into fabric design, focusing on the cognition and discussion of the concept of “fabric design”. Modular fabric is composed of several independent units, which breaks the limitations of traditional textiles in size, and makes the manufacturing process and structure of textiles as flexible and interesting as Lego building blocks. Advantages of “modular” fabrics include the ease of assembly and disassembly, customization, and cost effectiveness.
